PRESS
…especially the statuesque Ms. Stricker, are strikingly good… The results are surprisingly dramatic, above all in the critical moments when the Duchess falls for the Lover and, later, when she accepts her imminent death.
NEW YORK TIMES
In the role of Lady Macbeth, German mezzo-soprano Annette Stricker returns to the Festival after her outstanding portrayal of the Ducess in Luci mie traditrici.
NEW YORK TIMES
With an equally beautiful voice (she also sings Mozart), Annette Stricker was often riveting as Lady Macbeth – particulary in the sleepwalking scene, a long, static soliloquy that would be a callenge for anyone to pull off dramatically.
ANDANTE NEW YORK
..ins Unendliche gedehnte Augenblicke: die Wahnsinnsszene der Lady – stimmdisziplinierte Ikone maschinisierter Harpyrenhaftigkeit: die Sopranistin Annette Stricker..
FRANKFURTER RUNDSCHAU
